“The Nobel Prize for Public Service”

“It’s for the gift of his years of dedication to children’s skills, laughter, and confidence that Craig Dobbs receives the Jefferson Award.

"Craig, thank you for your service to Indianapolis and all the work you have done with Children’s TherAplay. Congratulations on earning the Jefferson Award.”

-  Amanda Starrantino, RTV 6 anchor

As Amanda explains, “The Jefferson Awards for Public Service looks for local unsung heroes who make the world a better place through volunteering and community service. Known as the ‘Nobel Prize for Public Service,’ the awards recognize ordinary people who do extraordinary things. RTV6 presents the Jefferson Awards to local volunteers and paid professionals, who go well beyond their expected duties and positively impact our communities.”

And, yes, this prestigious award was recently presented to someone quite close to our hearts: Children’s TherAplay founder and board member, Craig Dobbs.

There are so very many lives, both human and equine, that have been changed for the better because, 17 years ago, this man said Yes to hippotherapy, Yes for children who have special needs.

Please enjoy the RTV6 video and join us in a heartfelt and extremely well-deserved congratulations to Craig.
