Will my favorite Indy 500 driver be there?

There's a strong possibility! Here's the thing: The drivers are all very excited but
their schedules are not their own. Many of them won't know until early May
whether or not they're able to participate and, also, sometimes things change.

Here's who's confirmed so far!

  • Josef Newgarden, 2017 Indycar series champion, #Horsepower500 rookie
  • Conor Daly, Third place in the 2017 #Horsepower500 (and quite the competitor, along with Alex Rossi in TV's "Amazing Race"!)
Featured in this INDYCAR #UpToSpeed video
  • Scott Dixon, 2016 #Horsepower500 champion
Also featured in this RTV 6 Sports video about the race

  • James Hinchcliffe, As featured in the 2016 #Horsepower500 RTV 6 Sports video (because he might have been giving Scott Dixon a push)

  • Stefan Wilson, Enjoy this USA Today video and article about Stefan’s invitation to his 2017 #Horsepower500 kiddo copilot

  • Alexander Rossi, #Horsepower500 rookie
Winner of the 2016 Indianapolis 500 and competitor, alongside Conor Daly, on TV's "Amazing Race"!
  • Charlie Kimball, who had us all laughing when he sprinted down the speedway in 2016 to help a fellow Indy 500 driver who got hung up in the turn

Stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages for announcements
about the kiddo - INDYCAR driver - therapy horse teams

Where to park your race car (or minivan, truck, or car)

Guest parking for the #Horsepower500 is off-site but nearby: one-quarter mile south of Children's TherAplay at College Park Church: 2606 West 96th Street.

Help yourself to complimentary (child- and wheelchair-accessible!) shuttle service from Miller Transportation or enjoy a brief stroll down the newly-paved Carmel walking path, which connects guest parking and the event.

It’s fun with a purpose!

Funds raised through the Children's TherAplay #Horsepower500 help make more than 700 equine-assisted physical and occupational therapy treatments possible each month for children with special needs.

Find out how your support changes lives for Central Indiana kiddos with special needs.
