What is the Children's TherAplay #GiddyUpChallenge?
Remember that time you poured ice on your head for charity? Here’s your chance to use the world of social media to make people laugh and raise awareness for a great cause. The Children's TherAplay #GiddyUpChallenge was created by the generous folks at CSM Sport and Entertainment, who were looking for a fun and creative way to help raise funds and awareness for the life-changing therapies that take place at The Children's TherAplay Foundation.

How does it work?
Folks who are nominated to complete the #GiddyUpChallenge will be dared to perform their best giddy-up in a public location (preferably in front of an unsuspecting audience) and with a camera rolling.
The giddy-upper will then post the resulting video to their social media page and challenge family and friends get their giddy-up on.
What is Children’s TherAplay?
One of the most innovative pediatric clinics in the country. By providing physical and occupational therapies on horseback, through a treatment strategy called hippotherapy, Children's TherAplay helps Central Indiana children with special needs – such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delay, and traumatic brain injury – grow stronger and more independent.
Who does the Children's TherAplay #GiddyUpChallenge benefit?

- A very special therapy horse, Gideon, and the kiddos he serves
In the 16 years since he trotted into Children’s TherAplay, Gideon has participated in an astounding 8,500+ physical and occupational therapy treatments for kiddos with special needs. One of the goals of the #GiddyUpChallenge is to raise $11,000 to sponsor Gideon and his stall for an entire year.

As with any medical treatment, there is a price tag involved. Each physical or occupational therapy treatment costs Children’s TherAplay $182; however, the average health insurance reimbursement is only $101. Funds and awareness raised through #GiddyUpChallenge help close that $81-per-treatment gap.

How do I join in the giddy-up fun?
- Get out your camera and hit Record!
Stop and shout: “My name is _________ and I've been challenged to complete the Giddy-Up Challenge to benefit The Children's TherAplay Foundation. Join me in the giddy-up!”
- Next, proceed with your very best version of a giddy-up, whatever that looks like.
